Having travelled a fair bit in the last little while, I’ve become increasingly disturbed by the LCBO monopoly here in Ontario. What’s with that anyway?
Chaired by a former director of the Liquor Control Board of Ontario, the review unanimously urged privatization as the best way to improve consumer service and choice without any loss of monopoly money to government. It makes perfect sense to privatize the LCBO. However, Liberals are against that. Liberals, or so-called “progressives”, are not so progressive when it comes to dismantling one of their stupid shrines in the church of Liberalism, which include things like the LCBO, CRTC, CBC, etc. Those sacred institutions are simply untouchable (for reasons I’ll never understand) in the wierd and hypocritical mind of a Liberal.
